profs septembre 2010The French Institute of Copenhagen was founded in 1947. In the summer of 2004, its location changed and the Institute is now on Strøget, close to Kongens Nytorv. As one of the 150 cultural centres abroad which are under the control of the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, we guarantee a professional service and high quality courses.

We go beyond mere language teaching, covering cultural, business and professional aspects of French. We offer a wide choice of courses and levels, and an equally wide choice of days and schedules. Our courses are followed every year by more than 1500 students. We also offer class visits, seminars and many different cultural events.

All our teachers are French native speakers and qualified teachers. Our courses are taught by trained professionals and our specialist courses by experts in their fields. They all speak English and/or Danish.
The multimedia library of the Institute proposes more than 6000 books, films and CDs in the French language. The library plays an important role in the French cultural life of Copenhagen.
All our students are entitled to a free membership of our multimedia library for one year. So you can enjoy a bit of France right in the centre of the city.

The Institute is also an examination centre for official French exams for foreigners.
