How do you manage to find a way into this maze of choices and repercussions?
Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), also known as by the trade name Plexiglas was developed in 1928 in several different laboratories by many chemists. Laser cutting may be used to form intricate designs from PMMA sheets. However, the pulsed laser cutting introduces high internal stresses along the cut edge, which on exposure to solvents produce undesirable “stress-crazing” at the cut edge and several millimeters deep. Quartz is a mineral composed of silica, found widely in igneous and metamorphic rocks and typically occurring as colorless or white hexagonal prisms. It’s the second most abundant mineral in Earth’s continental crust, behind feldspar. Mars is a British chocolate bar. It was manufactured in 1932 in England. In 2008, Mars UK reduced the weight of regular bars from 62,5g to 58g. Although the reduction in size was not publicized at the time, Mars claimed the change was designed to help tackle the obesity crisis in the UK. The company later confirmed that the real reason for the change was rising costs. In 2013, the “standard” Mars bar was further reduced to 51 g. Ibuprofen is a medication in the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) class that is used for treating pain, fever, and inflammation. The wholesale cost in the developing world is between 0,01 and 0,04 USD per dose.
As an artist, I do believe that we can find a balance in arranging elements that are not supposed to coexist. Isn’t it the definition of sculpture?
